Tea House Winter Wedding

Tea House winter wedding in Vancouver Stanley Park.

Small intimate wedding ceremony followed by a daytime reception lunch. This is how Cherry, the bride with three red dresses contacted me if I would be available to photograph her and Danny's wedding day this winter. With such a short time notice this event suddenly became my last wedding of the season. So here I was the last weekend of November, freezing chilli morning with frost on the grass and scenic Stanley park venue in such a beautiful morning crispy light. The original idea was outdoor ceremony. But for last week or so the rain was all over the city so the venue made some back up preps and a white tent shined on muddy grass when we all got there. With a short sweet ceremony the celebration moved inside the warm and cozy Tea House Conservatory room. If you come to the restaurant as often as I do, then you know how great service you can expect here. Delicious food, live music and amazing views of the ocean. Sun was shining through the skylights the whole day on us. Danny and Cherry had great entrance with speeches, toasted every guest at the tables with traditional Gānbēi!

Then couple had fun with show games, a cake cutting and of course outdoor bouquet toss at the for the single ladies. Emotional, fun and easygoing atmosphere filled day. Danny and Cherry it was my honour to be your wedding photographer and I wish you all the best in your life!
